I teach from my studio in Harpswell, Maine, tucked a mile down a little dirt road on Great Island! Come take a class, walk on our private woodland trails, sit and watch the wildlife by our tidal creek.  Make sure you plan on leaving time after class for exploring beautiful Harpswell!

Leather Bound Journal/Sketchbook Book-binding Class

In this class, you will make a fully custom, leather-bound journal/sketchbook, featuring a hand-tooled and painted cover, hand-stitched pages, and personalized closure. 

Price includes all materials! 

Donald will be bringing a limited number of take-home kits as well! Kits include: precut leather and journal material, step-by-step instructions, tooling stone, swivel knife, mallet, thread, needles, and basic stamp set.
If you would like to reserve one, include the additional $85 with your payment.

Micro-Mosaic Jewelry

Cost: $125, all materials includedCome make a piece of jewelry for yourself or as a gift for someone you love!

You'll learn how to make this wearable art in this one-day micro mosaic workshop! Class will begin with learning about the glass used in micro mosaics, how to handle and cut the glass, what adhesives to use, and how to set it all in a pendant with precision. I will lead you step by step through making your first pendant. After your first piece of jewelry is completed, you will be free to create either earrings, a ring, another pendant, or a brooch. 

Must be at least18 to participate.

The Ancient Art of Wet Felting

Learn the ancient art of wet felting in my beginners wet felting class! Wet felting is painting with raw wool. Modern felt-making utilizes almost the same techniques that have been used to create this art for the last 8,000 years! Create a small winter scene, and leave with your beautiful wet felt artwork, ready to be hung on your wall, given as a gift, or used in your next fabric creation. 

Must be at least16 to participate. Under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Private Mosaic Classes 

One-day, 6 hour class of your choice, on a day that works for you! 

Cost: $225, all materials included

You can come alone, ask a friend, or invite up to 8 people!  Cost is $225 per person. Together, we will design a class perfect for yourself or your group. 

Cost for an additional, shorter (3 hour) class day to complete projects or grout is $260 per person total for both days.
